About ADG's Product
The capsule shell itself is constructed of only the finest materials
available. It is completely hand laid and encompasses over eleven
individual layers of fabrics including Dupont Kevlar, Owens corning
fiberglass cloth, and core material unique to the design and
construction of our laminate that guaranties complete bonding of all
layers into one laminate with a minimum thickness of .625 at
critical sections.
The Clear Choice:
The windshield used in our design is formed from our own mold
specifically for our use. It is not adapted to fit as an after
thought. It is made of 1/2 inch thick polycarbonate (Lexan)
throughout. There are no thin spots do to stretching. It has no
acrylic (Plexiglass) laminated to it to cause cracking of the top
layer upon impact.
Six Points:
The roll cage meets or exceeds the SFI specifications available for
the construction of roll cages in the auto racing field. It is
constructed of 1.250 X .065 / 4130 chrome moly tubing of the highest
standards available throughout. It is roomy enough for the largest
of drivers and incorporates a true six point roll cage design. All
brackets and tabs are also fabricated from 4130 stock. All roll
cages are serial numbered and dated.
Putting It All Together:
The windshield attaches to a steel tube and not just to the
fiberglass laminate. Unbolt the roll cage and it can be removed out
the rear of the capsule for easy maintenance, inspections,
alterations or installation of any accessories required. The windshield
canopy also removes easily for best possible access.
